Nora Tobin grew up in the High Sierra’s on Lake Tahoe, where she spent most of her childhood outdoors- hiking, snowboarding, skiing, wakeboarding, rock climbing, and white water rafting.
She moved to Del Mar, CA with her family and became an ocean lifeguard, certified in advanced scuba, cliff, river and helicopter rescue.
Nora traveled the world for a year before moving to Santa Barbara. She has competed on the AVP, CBVA, Corona Wide Open and GAV beach volleyball tours. Nora is the creator of a unique fitness program that incorporates yoga, weight training, stand up paddle, beach boot camps, hiking, running, sports specific training, as well as nutrition information and meal plans, for ages ranging from 5- 70. She is writing a fitness book currently slated for publication that will serve as a manual for a knockout body, peaceful mind and better planet.
Nora is a volunteer committee member for the Breast Cancer Resource Center events, as well as a volunteer instructor for Del Mar ocean lifeguards in scuba, cliff, river rescue.
Nora is excited to be a new Brand Ambassador for GNC. Previously, she was a spokesperson for FRS Energy Drink, which garnered 6 million hits on the internet. This brought Nora a global audience and caused a media meltdown at sportswriter news desks around the country. CNBC’s Darren Rovell commented, “I was caught off guard when I saw an ad for FRS Energy Drink that featured a gorgeous, ripped woman named Nora Tobin…the ad is sweeping the internet by storm.”
Nora’s strong motivational spirit and belief in herself stems from a positive, optimistic spirit. She recalls the mantra her parents imparted to her early in life, “I feel fine, I feel great, I feel terrific. Why? I’ll tell you why. I’ve got faith, hope and enthusiasm: faith in myself, hope in the future and enthusiasm for life!”
