Up early again to get the first tracks at Vail . The sunshine sprinkled diamonds of light on the snow and the sky was a bright blue. The day could not have been better. We ate our breakfast as we headed up the first chair and then skied all over the mountain.

I love being outdoors, it always gives me so much energy! We shot a warm up workout video in gale force winds at 12,000 ft.Pretty ridiculous but very fun.
After lunch, Mamma T. and I tried to find a particularly steep black diamond run we heard about from someone in the lodge but got completely lost. It took all afternoon to make it back to the front side of the mountain. Half way through our trek I needed to take a break, so I found a perfect pillow of powder to lie on.

We finally found our way and we were both so relieved. It wouldn’t be the first time I’ve been lost in the mountains. My dad always says: “half the adventure is getting where you are going and the other half is finding your way home.” We made it back to the house just in time to watch the sunset.
