Beauty-Boosting Chocolate Chip Cookies and Fat-Burning Matcha Granola Bars

The Beauty Booster

Star Ingredient: Dark Chocolate

Why: Dark chocolate is loaded with powerful antioxidants that enhance cell turnover and improve complexion. It increases serotonin and endorphin levels in the brain, which helps lower stress levels. This is crucial for anti-aging and a slim stomach since high cortisol (stress hormone) stores abdominal fat and speeds up the aging process.

No Bake Cookies:

  • 2/3 cup quick oats

  • 1/4 cup plus 3 tbsp oat flour

  • 2 tbsp cacao or cocoa powder

  • 1/4 tsp salt

  • 1/4 tsp baking soda

  • 1/4 cup honey or coconut sugar

  • 1 1/2 tsp instant coffee granules

  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips or mini chocolate chips

  • 1/4 cup coconut oil

  • 2 tbsp water

  • 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract

Blend, chill and serve.


The Fat Burner

 Star Ingredient: Matcha

 Why:  High concentration of polyphenols, which fight free radicals, slowing down the aging process. Cleanses liver to detox the body. Regulates body temperature, excess fluids and blood sugar.

Matcha Granola Bars:

2 cups / 200g rolled oats, gluten-free if desired
1 cup / 135g pumpkin seeds
1 ½ cups unsweetened puffed rice cereal (rice, millet, quinoa etc.)
½ cup dried fruit (raisins, dates, figs, prunes, goji berries), roughly chopped
¼ tsp. flaky sea salt
1 – 1 ½ Tbsp. matcha green tea powder (to your taste)
1/3 cup / 80ml brown rice syrup
3 Tbsp. / 45 ml maple syrup
½ cup / 125ml tahini
2 Tbsp. coconut oil
1 tsp. vanilla extract

The Cold Fighter

 Star Ingredient: Turmeric

 Why: The powerful antioxidant in turmeric, curcumin, has powerful effects on the immune system. It neutralizes free radicals on its own but also stimulates your body's own antioxidant enzymes. Curcumin also boosts levels of the brain hormone BDNF, which increases the growth of new neurons and fights various degenerative processes in your brain.


Turmeric Energy Bites:

  • 1/2 cup walnuts

  • 1/2 cup unsweetened desiccated/shredded coconut

  • 1 cup  8 pitted medjool dates, roughly chopped

  • 1 teaspoon ground tumeric

  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder

  • Blend, chill, serve.


The Performance Pickup

 Star Ingredient:  Macadamia Nuts

 Why: Macadamia nuts are one of the only food sources that contain palmitoleic acid (a type of monounsaturated fatty acid that may speed up fat metabolism, thus reducing the body’s ability to store fat). Contains both soluble and insoluble dietary fiber, which helps you feel full while removing toxins from the body and assisting in proper digestion.


Macadamia Nut Cookies:

Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.
